Hello everyone.
The Red Masque wanted to update you on the new album as well as group news.
First of all we are currently mixing the last two songs on the new album ("Fool Again" and "Fever Dreams"). We can't wait when the songs are finished and we can share, "All the Wolves Are Fed" with you. If you haven't already, please check out the NEW EP, "Tear the Sky Down" on Bandcamp. This EP features a single of our new studio song of the same name, as well as a blistering live performance of "Howl". A studio version of "Howl" will also be on our new album.
On that note, this will be Severyn Clarke's (aka Jim Harris) last album with the band. Severyn is moving on to other projects and we wish him the best of luck. You can also hear his work on our last album, Fathomless, which we feel was a breakthrough in our time as a band. The new album, hopefully, will continue in that direction. In addition to his drum performance on the new album, you can also hear Severyn's work on mixing the live "Howl" song on our new EP.
As we say goodbye to Severyn, we'd like to introduce drummer Ryan Kleeman. Ryan has been working with us since early this year and we will be debuting him this Fall with a live show at Orion Studios in Baltimore. We are currently looking to set up additional shows as well.
Ryan is originally from Stroudsburg, PA and has been performing in bands since 2006. After studying contemporary percussion and music theory at Kutztown University, the avant garde and the rock in opposition movement became deeply influential to his musical endeavors. Some of his favorite bands are Magma, John Cage, Henry Cow, It’s the End, and Gentle Giant
His current favorite Red Masque song is "Fool Again."
Photographer Corrine McAndrews took some photos of the new band lineup. Thanks to Chris Macan for letting us use his property for the shoot, and to Corrine for the wonderful photos. Check them out below.
We hope to see you soon and can't wait for you to hear our new album.
